Guy the teacher @ Cambridge and beyond!

Created by Judith 3 years ago

I knew Guy from working with him since 2013 on a programme Atos commissioned from the Institute for Manufacturing at the University of Cambridge. On this programme, for technical leaders from around the globe, Guy taught sessions about scientific and technical strategy, supported the participants in their team projects and worked with us as programme tutors in designing and delivering a unique programme that has been recognised Internationally for the quality of its partnership and impact. This week we will kick-off, in collaboration with long term partners at the University of Paderborn - the 15th programme. Guy was in his element teaching - connecting with and challenging the participants - always with excellent reviews.

Over the years, through his many trips to both Cambridge and Paderborn (Germany), I got to know Guy and the things away from work that he is so passionate about. We probably argued about football the most - only because we both supported different Premier League Clubs! A recurrent theme was family, with children of a similar age and the challenges of going to University amongst them. He was so proud of you all and it was evident how much he loved and valued his family.

There is a team of people who have worked with Guy over the years from University of Cambridge (Judith, Michele, Amanda, Peter and Alan) and Paderborn University (Gregor, Simon and Dennis). Peter, Amanda and Ramon (Atos) ran the Cambridge 1/2 Marathon in March 2020 to raise money for MND inspired by Guy's fight back. Guy - you are very much missed by all of us.
